About Pat and Bob Bonner of "Corgwood" Pembroke Welsh Corgis.

We, Pat & Bob Bonner first joined the Welsh Corgi League in 1969 but only became involved in serious showing since 1983 when we purchased our first show quality bitch from Margo Parsons - Deavitte Belle Blonde of Corgwood (Tara) - a daughter of Ch. Fitzdown Dorian of Deavitte x Deavitte Damask Rose. Tara became our foundation bitch and was mated to Ch. Blands Status Symbol to produce Simone Semolina Snopaws who was the mother of our only UK Champion - Ch. Corgwood Kouros, his well known sire being Pemland Royal Command. Kouros (Ben) unfortunately died in May 2002 at the age of 16 years old he is sadly missed and always will be, he had the most sweetest and most super temperament that is especially known of Corgwood Corgis. We have bred two other Champions: Danish Champion - Corgwood Obsession and Canadian Champion: Corgwood Knowing.
Our show team consists of: Corgwood Cartier (our Veteran) who won the Veteran Dog Class at Crufts 2001 also won various Veteran Classes at Championship shows throughout the year. Cartier (Badger) Sire: Ch. Pemland Magnus x Dam: Corgwood Caliche (a Ch. Belroyd Nutcracker daughter). During his early show career Badger won 4 reserve CC's and many first places - he is a really lovely dog to own. Corgwood Tsar (Barney) Sire: Ch. Belroyd the Red Grouse x Dam: Corgwood Caliche. Barney has won a Challenge Certificate together with a Group placing and has won really well for us during his show career. Corgwood Cerruti Image (Chuck) Sire: Cordach Tribune x Dam: Corgwood Cassini (a Ch. Pemland Magnus daughter). Chuck has won a Challenge Certificate and many first places at Championship Shows - another dog with a super temperament who is a pleasure to own. His sister Corgwood Contradiction has won several places at Championship level. Corgwood Declaration our youngest dog is such a sweetie and has qualified for Crufts 2002 on numerous occasions.
Although only a small kennel we select our stud dogs with care to enable us to keep our superb temperaments and good looks. Bob is the Treasurer of the Welsh Corgi League. We, Pat & Bob, have served on several Corgi Club Committees, also on the Eastern Bearded Collie Club, Bob as Treasurer and then Chairman and Pat as a Committee member then Treasurer, we have also served on other General Dog Club Committees.
