Support for the campaign

A TOTAL of 94 people signed two petitions and 356 people wrote individual letters to Crewe and Nantwich Borough Planning Officer, Paul Ancell - and at a meeting of the Development Control Panel on July 27, 2004, he recommended refusal of the application to build apartments on the walled garden. The Panel agreed to his recommendation with just two Councillors voting against refusal.

These were on top of a petition signed by more than 400 people when members of the campaign committee spent four hours in Nantwich Square.

The local press have been very good in their support by reporting our activities, but it is always a big help to keep the issue in the minds of the public. Write a letter to the editors of the local papers expressing your support.
