Loos-en-Gohelle is a village about 5km north-west of Lens and the Loos Memorial lies at the side of the busy N43 Lens to Bethune Road. |

The Loos Memorial forms the outer three sides of the Dud Corner Cemetery and consists of tablets on which are carved the names of over 20,000 officers and men who fell in the area from the river Lys to the old southern boundary of the First Army, east and west of Grenay, and who have no known grave. It covers the period from the first day of the Battle of Loos to the date of the Armistice. |
