|

Abbots Thorn is a 200 year old,
traditional, stone-built, former Dales farmhouse that reputedly has the only
round chimney stacks in the Dales. The house has been lovingly converted into a
warm and comfortable place to spend your holiday.
Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Abbots Thorn is a 200 year old traditionally built Dales house in Coverdale's principal village Carlton with stunning views south towards West Scrafton, as a guest house (because we serve evening meals) not just a bed and breakfast establishment! we have been awarded the VisitBritain 4 star award so you can be sure of a comfortable, friendly, warm stay. Abbots Thorn is centrally located to many places of interest including Leyburn, Middleham, Aysgarth Falls, Wensley, Reeth, Askrigg and Hawes to name but a few. A warm welcome awaits.
In the heart of 'Herriot Country', the small village of Carlton is situated between Leyburn and Hawes and is Coverdale's principal village of about 80 houses, it has its own pub and is an ideal base for walking, hiking, fishing, bird watching or touring in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.
