Water Buses
are the commonest form of Venetian transport. These day to day workhorses
shuttle up and down the main canals, and a "3-day bus pass" gives the freedom
to jump on and off, even just to cross to the other side of the canal.

![]() Just like anywhere else, Venice has its taxis and they're the speedy way for the well heeled to get about. Costing the best part of £50 to hire for any appreciable distance, they're a lot less affordable than the humble water bus. |
And of course, and strictly for the tourists, not forgetting the gondola!
