Stage Management: The Essential Handbook - Gail Pallin 
  This handbook is aimed at students, graduates and all aspirants to stage management, whether amateur or professional, whether the production is on a large or small scale. Complete with charts and helpful checklists, it takes the reader through a production week by week from the rehearsals to the show. Stage Management: A Practical Guide (Paperback) - Soozie Copley and Philippa Killner
This title offers a practical guide to all aspects of this exciting and pivotal job in the theatre, from first receiving the script, through the rehearsal process and production period to putting the show away after the final performance. Topics include: the stage management team - roles and responsibilities; reading the play; working with the play, researching it and making a prompt copy; finding and borrowing props; making realistic stage food and drink; rehearsal process, including technical and dress rehearsals and, finally, stage management in performance.

Stage Management and Theatre Administration (Theatre Manual) - Terry Hawkins and Pauline Menear
One part of a five-part series designed to help the amateur and student to develop their theatre skills. The author looks at drama as it is now and offers imaginative approaches to classical and less conventional theatre - mime, spectacle, musicals, outdoor shows and productions in unusual settings.. He stresses the importance of teamwork and planning and shows how with a creative use of resources outstanding results can be achieved.

Essential Guide to Stage Management (Essential Guides to the Performing Arts) - Scott Palmer 
Provides an introduction to the professional theatre production process, concentrating on technical theatre (lighting and sound), and stage management.
