President’s report

The “Mark’s Magic Kingdom” show went well as did the Easter Egg Raffle.

The ICT room is nearly finished and out of the £12K used in its refurbishment £4K was raised via the PTA

 

Chair’s report

The “Mark’s Magic Kingdom” show went particularly well and a special note of thanks is extended to Judith Carroll for all her hard work. The Easter Egg Raffle (as above) also was a success. Maybe next year an Easter Bonnet competition might be arranged.

 

Treasurer’s report

Mother’s Day gifts raised £138

Mark’s Magic Kingdom raised £132

Easter Egg raffle raised £75

 

A qualified accountant is required to audit the accounts and as yet one has not been found.

A review of the class reps was made and volunteers asked for.

Carnival

 

The date for the Carnival has been set as 25th June.

 

There will be a PTA “hook a duck” stall there.

On May 8th there will be a family disco at 5pm at The Lord Scarsdale and at 7:30pm there will be a “horse race” event where films of horse races are used as the basis of wanton gambling!

 

Ground Force

 

Dad’s wanting to turn their hands to weeding are invited to the school on Wednesday 27th April at 7pm. Please bring your own gloves and tools (trowels, pruners, garden fork etc).

 

School Disco

 

Following reviews with the school council it has been agreed to stage another school disco. This will be scheduled on the Friday after the leaver’s concert on the 15th July.

Issues reviewed included:      policing of the event

                                               children’s spending money

                                               the children getting too hot

                                               the 15 minute handover

                                               structured session for the infants, maybe a party based approach

                                               half time refreshment break
