Wolfie took another win on the TL on Tuesday beating some chap called Malcolm Elliott – Wolfies early season form making him a good bet for the Good Friday meet and some results there.

KIT

 There are some issues regarding the kit sizing etc. Please let Andrea know what you want to change and she will endeavour to sort everyone out before the club orders another batch. If ypu are riding on the 15th please bring the kit along to  allow easy  swapping etc.

Paul Hunter & Eve Kenyon, back on the tandem racing together three years after setting the fastest mixed GB time over 15 miles, overcame Paul’s “ski-legs” [a bit like jelly legs, only worse!]  and did a fast 21.17 in very windy conditions in Sunday’s Merseyside Ladies 10tt.

Meanwhile Althea Drane took to time trialling on her Fuji road bike doing a splendid time in one of her first events.

Don’t forget the club has a track session on April 15th @ 1-3pm. All welcome.

Speedster Jon Norfolk, the former Kilo and 2 x Keirin national champion and WCPP rider has rejoined the team for this year. Jon is one of the original crew and will be organizing our team sprint teams for the nationals and Masters this year.

Great to have the chap back – a huge addition to the team.

Watch out for Jon on the tandems too.

David Melvin, Jo & Graham Wilman have been giving it large on the TL’s this last few days with all three gaining some places and points.

If you have not entered events for Easter, then get to it quickly.

Andrea is hoping the tandems will get a good run-out this year. Remember, entries are already due for the national tandems @ Newcastle in May.

Standing 5000m/10000m & 20km also flying 1Km.
 

She is thinking of Ellen, Angela, Tracy, Jeanette, Eve, Chris H, Joanne W etc. She has the tandems and will give you support but you have to get yourself organized.

Good results are beginning to come in. Dan Wolfie, Graham Wilman, Jo Wilman and Tracey & Paul Crolla all doing well in the Manchester Velodrome track leagues.

Jeanette Baxter, David Melvin, Ian Macdonald and Eve Kenyon are all doing their bit in time trials.

Looks we have a  few riders in the Good Friday meet at Herne Hill and also some riders at the ACT meet on Easter Monday.

Please don’t forget the next club session on April 15^th at 1pm. We need a track coach for the day as both I and Russell will be away.

Kit is available.

I have has assurance that the new FUJI frames will be here in a day or two!!

Dan Wolfi had a good win in the Premier TL 31/1/06 and now looks to move up from his overall 3^rd place at the next Revolution meeting in Feb.

Vital open track meeting is on June 10^th and will include omniums for; tandems, women and Madison teams. More details to follow soon.

Just to welcome another new member to our fold – Jeanette Baxter. A regular at the Velodrome over the years and now wanted to join a proper team. In the end she relented and joined ours!

Dan Wolfi rode a brill race at the recent Revolution meeting at the Manchester Velodrome last weekend taking a terrific 2^nd place in the mile scratch. Looks like he is going to have a great year ahead.
