What the Acoustic Roots Club is about

"The club promotes the playing of live acoustic music of any style in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere."

Anyone can come to play; anyone can come to listen. Sue Arrow and John Gibney, when they had the idea of starting the club, were thinking of a place which would encourage others as they themselves had been encouraged in the clubs of the Folk Revival of the 1960's.

If you've always wanted to play, or sing, then come and do it. Friendly and encouraging are the words. Equally, if you've been musical all your life, you will be equally welcome.

By the way, music isn't the only thing you could do. Anyone who'd like to perform a monologue, read a poem or do a spot of standup can do it!
