Focker DVIIThe Focker DVII was undoubtably the finest German scout of the first world war. Such was its awsome reputation that it was singled out for special mention in the Armistice agreement. The new Focker scout was declared the winner of the first D type contest at Adlershof in January 1918, and began to enter front line service during the following April. The Focker DVII was comparatively easy to fly and extremely agile, at its ceiling it was capable of hanging on its prop and shoot at the enemy when other contemporary fighters would have stalled out. PerformanceMaximum
level speed: 122 mph
