Admissions
Children are admitted to school in
September following their fourth birthday although legally they do not have to
be sent to school until the term after their fifth birthday. Our admission level
is 14 pupils and we have to seek permission to accept more children.
What do you have to do?
- First, come and visit us if you would
like to by making an appointment with the Secretary.
- Then if you would like to register
your child for Pensford School please do so in the September in the year
before they are due to start school. Again, speak to the Secretary to provide
all the information to send to the County. We can only accept late
registrations if we still have places.
- In the summer term before the children
start school you will be notified about an induction evening for parent
which will give you an opportunity to visit again, meet the school staff who
will care for your child as well as meet each other. We will go through all
the entry procedures then and will be able to answer any of your queries.
Some parts of the school uniform will be available for purchase along with
book and P.E. bags.
- In the summer term also before
admission there will be an opportunity for your child to spend time in their
new class.
