The school year is based on a calendar of 195 days. Five days are used for staff professional development and you will be warned well in advance of these dates.
Any absence can affect progress but the Headteacher is able to authorise up to two weeks absence in any one year for children to accompany their parents on holiday. Holiday forms are available from the Secretary after discussion with the Headteacher. Please make sure you do not plan to take holidays in May if your child is in Year Two or Year Six as they will be involved in statutory assessment tests (SATs) and an absence then cannot be authorised.
