#34 on the UK singles chart.

Inscriptions in the vinyl a) 'THE CROSSOVER MARKET' b) 'THE SECRET PUBLIC'

The term "secret public" later surfaced in several places
  1. as the name of the BUZZCOCKS Fan club set up in 1979
  2. in the lyrics of Steve Diggle's 1981 song 'fifty years of comparative wealth'
  3. in a work of graphic art by Linder & Jon Savage published 1985 in the booklet part of Touch Tapes "Ritual" pg8
  4. at the end of the booklet in the 1989 Product box set: "For the secret public and Tiller Boys everywhere"
  5. as the title of the 1994 Diggle/FOC Best Of... CD, The Secret Public Years.
The meaning of this term is a mystery to me (???).

Gez notes:
'Secret Public - I think this term may well be based on newsletters concerning upcoming releases/info etc (but this is only a hypothetical guess.)'
