Main Broadcaster on the Astra Satellite, providing access to a variety of other broadcasters and channels via the MultiChannels subscription package. To access many other broadcasters on ASTRA it is necessary to purchase a package of bundled channels from BSkyB (who operate the encryption system).

Having merged with British Satellite Broadcasting, BSkyB has become the dominant player in the UK television industry with exclusive contracts for Sports / Films and a 24 hour News channel (plus many pay-per-view events)
