Minder is being re-broadcast (from season 4 onwards) from July 2000 by ITV in the UK, the first time in a number of years. However the prints bing used for broadcast have been formated so as to be suitable for 16:9 transmission on ITV's digital feed. It appears that Instead of going back to the original filmed prints of the series (the series having been filmed rather than videotaped), episodes have been cleaned up and formatted from original 4:3 ratio prints. Whilst resulting in much crisper and more acceptable quality prints than were used for recent satellite broadcasts an amount of peripheral material is lost (as can be seen in the screen grabs/ comparisons below)
