Hidden "Service" Mode      Sony Ericsson logo


The Sony Ericsson K750i (as did the K700i and possibly others SE models) have an un-docmented Service feature. This shows information on service and it also allows the testing of the phones functions.

Note: Although I have accessed this feature myself with no ill effects at all, I will not be liable for anyone who ends up with problems. Although the screens display mostly information, the Text Labels seems to have selectable items. If anyone can give me more information on "Text Labels", I'd be grateful.

To activate this feature, carry out the following procedure (ignoring anything that appears on the screen):

Press [joystick right] [*] [joystick left] [joystick left] [*] [joystick left] [*]


The following items appears on the Service screen:

  • Service info
  • Service tests
  • Text labels


    Service Info list the following:

  • Model Information
  • Software Information
  • SIM lock
  • Configuration

    Service Tests tests the following:

  • Main Display
  • LED/Illumination
  • Keyboard
  • Speaker
  • Earphone
  • Microphone
  • Vibrator
  • Camera
  • Flash LED
  • Memory Stick
  • FM Radio
  • Real Time Clock
  • Total Call Time.

    Text Labels shows various text items. I suggest ignoring these.
