Notes / Comments

  • Camera lens: AF 4.8mm 1:2.8
  • When using Burst Mode, Frames Mode or Panormama Mode, it only takes pictures at 640 x 480 regardless of picture size settings.
  • Panorama shoots a max of 3 pics which seems adequate as the final pic is up to 1664 pixels wide.
  • Display Cell info: Displays the area code you are in: Depends on network. (Common with most phones).
  • Delivery report (for texts): Depends on network. (Common with most phones).
  • K700 themes are not compatible with K750i but K700 themes can be converted using Theme Creator v1.8 or above.
  • Standard Battery that came with phone: Lithium Polymer 3.6V 900mAh BST-37.

What I like about the phone

    Images

  • You can zoom in on an image and then take and save the zoomed in area as a seperate image.
  • Quality in low light conditions (without night mode or light) is very good. Better than some dig cams.
  • Can edit pictures, draw over pictures and add frames.
  • Frame Mode has 28 frames. (A friends identical K750i only has 24 frames for some reason).
  • You can specify if pictures are to be saved in the phone or on the Memory Stick.

    Video

  • You can capture a video frame and save it as a picture.
  • Can edit movie clips and add sound.
  • When viewing movie with Media Player, if interupted with txt/call, movie rewinds a bit and resumes.
  • You can specify if movie clips are to be saved in the phone or on the Memory Stick.
  • Length of movie clips (in High quality mode) is unlimited up to capacity of Memory Stick or phone.

    Others

  • Camera can still be used initially even when the keylock is on.
  • The light function has an SOS facility: flashes ... --- ...
  • You can record phone calls.
  • Has a loudspeaker function for calls and the radio.
  • When entering text (messages, tasks, reminders etc), you can add to own words to phone.
  • All files have a small icon next to it showing whether its stored in the phone memory or the Memory Stick.
  • When connected to a PC using USB, the phone appears as a removable drive in My Computer.
  • When connected to a PC, you can drag and drop files between phone and PC.
  • Phone can also be used as a USB Flash drive-any file (eg Office files, non phone files etc) can be transported/stored on phone.
  • Phone can be used as a remote control. PC must support Bluetooth HID Profile.
  • Software installed with no problems (at least on my XP SP2 machine).
  • A lot of settings etc have an Info (Help) option.
  • Has a hidden "Services" mode.

    Minor negative points

  • Burst Mode has a max of 4 shots, 6 would have been better.
  • Picture quality a bit low on max picture size (1632 x 1224).
  • Video mode a little chunky on fast moving objects but lot letter than k700.
  • Phone status does not show Memory stick or its capacity when connected to/charging from the PC.
  • Like most mobiles, no "grippy" texture to the sides, nearly slipped out of my hands a few times.

    and finally.......

  • The K750i itself is 5.3 grammes heavier if the Phone, the Memory Stick, and the SIM card are all full.

My K750i came with the following:

  • Battery.
  • Wired handsfree (also acts as a radio aerial).
  • 64MB Memory Stick Duo.
  • Memory Stick Duo adaptor.
  • Software CD (PC Suite, drivers).
  • USB Cable.
  • AC Charger.
  • Manual.
  • A cardbox box
