Because of lack of numbers this last three weeks, sessions have been temporarily suspended until we can see a way forward. [09 Feb 2009] Junior Badminton - 2008 / 2009 Ruskin Badminton Club and Ruskin Sports College now have a junior section for youngsters of school age roughly between 12 and 16 years who would like to play badminton on a Monday evenings for one hour between 6.30 and 7.30 pm. It is intended mainly for pupils of Ruskin Sports College and King's Grove School but pupils from other schools can also join depending on available places. We can take up to 16 players in total, both boys and girls. There is a fee of £2.00 per evening session; some racquets are available. If interested please contact -
[[ A Junior Doubles Badminton Tournament for Ruskin College pupils and Ruskin Junior Group is to be held at 4.00pm after classes on Thursday 22nd January 2009 in the Sports Hall at Ruskin College. If you want to enter you will need a doubles partner, then confirm your entry by contacting Andy Walker or Peter Barber with names - see email addresses below. It is planned to run it in sections so all pairs will play every pair in their section, and the section winners and runners up play in semi-finals and a final.]] - This event has been postponed to a date later in the year - as yet to be decided. |
