Michael Coldwell, Complaints Manager, is no longer in
his post. He is believed to be still working at PCHA,
hopefully somewhere where he can do less damage. His
replacement is Pamela Jackson, who recently had to seek
permission to take a fundamental decision to do with her
job. And so the future prospects for improvement are not
good.
Gerald Anderson was in charge of the Rent Recovery
Team, and is understood to have left the organisation for
good.
Tenants must wonder how they can do the same.
One of the principle computer systems of
JobCentre Plus (Income Support) has gone
seriously
wrong. (Try
Computing, and put
"CMS2" into their Search box). Benefits are sometimes not
being paid out properly, particularly to new claimants or
claimants who have had any significant change in their
claim. This is due to software called CMS2 which does a bad
job, and then, to add insult to injury, seems to tell the
Housing Benefit computer that the person has signed off.
Housing Benefit then stops, without any reference to the
tenant.
PCHA/Pathmeads are doing nothing about this. Their
idea of management is to wait for the arrears to build up,
and then send a "Notice Seeking Possession". A Fed committee
member has filed a formal complaint to the Department of
Works & Pensions alleging failure to keep proper
records. People have suffered as a result of their alleged
negligence.
