Letters to the Editor

Hoping for action after election

May 7, 2010.

Dear Sir,

The letter from Bryan Latter, Affordable homes no longer altruistic, (16 April), rightly points out many of the hypocracies of the social housing industry, run by fat cats on salaries of £3,000 per week.

You would have thought that, by now, the sector's regulator, previously the Housing Corporation and now the Tenant Services Authority, would have jumped on the case and would have initiated an investigation. They haven't.

We can only hope that the forthcoming General Election will bring a solution. The incoming government will be welcomed by tenants if they are keen to get on board substantial financial savings, environmental advances, justice and sensibleness, and above all, basic fundamental fairness.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Rutherford,

Independent Federation of Genesis Residents.
