Pulsed Neodymium/Glass (Nd/Glass) laser - water cooled.
The laser tube.
The laser tube is housed in a separate steel enclosure fed by water tubes (in and out), power and control signals. A circulating water pump is housed in the main enclosure.
The Power Supply
The power supply is housed in a 5 foot high 19" rack system, and consists of a very massive and heavy transformer (measuring 6"x 6"x 9") and a tray of very large capacitors and basic control gear.
There are nine capacitors, Bosch MP, 40 microfarad, rated at 2.5KV. They measure 4" diameter and 9" high.
The three inductors are wound in heavy cable, and measure 6" diameter and 2" high.
Its output power
As an indication of its power, when tested, the pulse melted a small hole in a metal ruler, but it is not certain whether the ruler was the more usual stainless steel or the less common aluminium type.

The location
The equipment has not been used for many years, and a buyer will need some expertise in this sort of gear, which is, of course, potentially very dangerous. It is located in north London, Great Britain.
Price: Negotiatable but around £750 (750 pounds sterling) to secure a quick sale.
