Update - 2nd February 2009

As at February 2009, three factors have conspired to increase my guitar collection (no, really?!). They are:

a) An increasingly diverse range of teaching and session requirements
b) The need to make extra money through ebay trading, and
c) a little extra money in the coffers with which to provide such answers.

To this end, below is a list of the guitars (and fittings) currently in my possession. It is worth noting however that the recently acquired Santa Cruz OM will be the guitar that I shall use for future gigs etc. There really is nothing quite like it! (see pictures)

• Fylde Orsino (UK - Lancashire) (1979)
• Martin D-16H (US - PA) (1992) with LR Baggs Dual-source pick-up
• Tony Revell 'Catfish Keith Ragtime' (UK - Powys) (1994) with EMG active pick-up
• Martin D12X1-12-string (US - PA) (2002)
• Manuel Rodriguez Model B Classical (Spain - Madrid) (2000)
• Nashville 'Biscuit-Tin' Dobro (US - Tennessee) (1938)
• Fender (sunburst) Stratocaster (US - California) (1997)
• John Lynch 'Pear Drop' Mandolin with Fishman Rare Earth pick-up (UK - Cheshire) (2008)

As I write, the dobro is for sale, and I'm willing to listen to sensible offers for others (NOT the Santa Cruz!) All theses instruments get used but recently the dobro has been lying idle 'inextremis!' I'll keep you posted on future developments.
