Review

American naval officer Annibal Ramirez is on shore leave in Jerusalem when he is kidnapped because he bears an uncanny resemblance to Carlos "The Jackal", the most heinous terrorist the world has ever known. When the mistake is realised the CIA master spy Jack Shaw (Donald Sutherland) and his Israeli counterpart, Amos (Ben Kingsley) decide to use this resemblance, against Ramirezs' wishes, to draw Carlos out of hiding and into an elaborate trap.

But before they can begin this trap they must train Ramirez to think and act like Carlos. Although Ramirez is against this plan, a quick phone call from the President soon changes his view.
Things do not always go to plan as Ramirez struggles to keep his sanity as he switches between the training which is turning him into the perfect killing machine and his real life with his family.

This film has great performances from the leading cast of Quinn, Sutherland and Kingsley. The special effects are amazing and the story keeps you in suspense.
A special mention must be given to Aidan
Quinn who plays both rolls of Ramirez and Carlos extremely well. This could have made the film confusing and comical but he pulls it off without the viewer ever questioning the characters.

A great action thriller!
