Carlisle Beer Festival 2009Well it came and went in a flash, or so it seemed for those of us that organised it! We were worried, as always, that we had too much/not enough beer! Fortunately enough of you came and sampled the wonderful array of beers on offer. On the Saturday afternoon we were mobbed by football supporters as well as about 80 railway enthusiasts who had traveled to Carlisle on the Steam specials. Many thanks for coming. As a result we SOLD OUT of beer and shut the doors at 8.00 pm. FANTASTIC!!! We managed to cover all our costs and are now going full steam ahead to do it all again next year.The surplus will be used for our local campaigning as well as setting aside something to help us do it next year! Yes, foolishly, the members want to do it all again so we have booked the venue. Put the dates in your diary now!Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 October 2010.Cumbria Ballroom, Hallmark Hotel, Carlisle.
