  1. Edale is signposted from the A625 near the town of CASTLETON.
  2. If you are approaching from the EAST, go through EDALE village and continue for about 1 mile to BARBER BOOTH. Turn RIGHT down another minor road signposted to HIGH BARBER/UPPER BOOTH.
  3. Go under the railway viaduct, past a lay-by then turn LEFT on to a gravel track.
  4. Turn RIGHT over the cattle grid at the sign for ORCHARD FARM.
  5. Continue along the track and at the fork ignore the right turn and go straight on, turn LEFT through a gate marked DALEHEAD.
  6. Continue along the track to a range of farm buildings, of farm buildings, the basecamp is the second on the RIGHT.
  7. (If approaching from the WEST, the turning to HIGH BARBER/UPPER BOOTH is on the LEFT at the bottom of the long steep incline from MAM TOR).

The Meeting Place is the "Ramblers Inn", next to Edale Railway Station.

Situated in a remote part of the Trust's 30,000 acre High Peak estate, this farmhouse has been converted from a derelict shell into a high quality basecamp. It has 3 dormitories, a kitchen, 2 washrooms, sitting room with inglenook and a large adjoining room for further accommodation or partying!
