If you stand with your back to the minstrels gallery , walk towards the opposite end of the hall , go to the right hand side ( oriel ) the huge gothic style window with stained glass and turn so your back is toward the glass and you are facing the other opposite oriel across the hall . Then look directly up , you are looking at the oriel ceiling that contains the roof boss of the pet lemur of the Courtaulds. ( This will be in the centre of all the bosses at the focal and highest point ) on the perimeter of the bosses on the hall side , directly in the centre is the green man
