The exterior is a gargoyle hunter's heaven , with chimeras , imps , mouth pullers and tongue pokers on every aspect from rain water goods to adorning the tower ! Inside the Green man is visible on the bottom of columns supporting the roof trusses and in the ornate organ screen . I cannot put an age on the stonework , but would assume that the wood carving is early Victorian in the high gothic tradition mixed with symbolic ivy leaves and acorns.” Date: ?
