'Bigglesworth Birdman' Bigglesworth ( the Blue Tit ) Bronte would regularly promenade the Haworth back ginnels in his patented corporate flight - crew uniform, prior to a display. This, invariably led to hoards of excited and often ricket - ridden local waifs following in adoration the 'Super Hero' of the period as he flapped the growing assembly into a frenzy of anticipation. It was reported at the time the chants "the Big Tit's here again" could be heard echoing down the valley to be answered traditionaly with the equally heartfelt reply, "Oh Bugger!" |
