One of the only remaining examples known
of Nugent Brontes' patented "Night Lights" for use by local
Penistone Quarrymen to enable continuous work during the
many Paraffin droughts of the 1850's. Bottles typical of the issue thought to
probably have contained potions, elixirs, and balms similar
to those well known by contemporaries of the Bronte
family. The remains of an early Haworth
Pastor. The remains of an early Haworth
Pasta. A spoon.

his lifelong search for the ideal artificial light
