1995 - City & Guilds Creative Studies Part 1 1997 - Finalist and exhibitor in the Charles Henry Foyle Trust Award for Stitched Textiles exhibition - 'Intriguing Technology' - at the Forge Mill Needle Museum, Redditch 1997 - Formed 'Frisby Embroiderers' group to promote embroidery at all levels 1998 - City * Guilds Creative Embroidery Part 2 - Extended Skills 1998 - Master Class at Longslade College, Birstall, Leicester - textile art and embroidery 2000 - Selected to be an exhibitor with the Edge Textile Artists, Scotland, 'To Boldly Sew' Exhibition and the McManus Galleries in Dundee. 2000 - Founder Member of the Visions Group of Textile Artists 2000 - Exhibitor in the 'Original Visions' exhibition at Patchings Farm Arts Centre, Calverton, Nottingham Having had an interest in embroidery for most of my life and attending leisure classes in embroidery for many years, I embarked on City & Guilds Creative Embroidery in 1995 and now attend Cherrilyn Tyler's Master Class in Textile Art and Embroidery at Longslade College and belong to the Visions Group of Textile Artists. Currently my work is inspired by Roman mosaics. I make fabrics using small scraps and threads left over from other pieces of work; these are then painted and stitched, cut up to form the design, and then stitched again.
