The Puppet Workshop's Non Boring Lecture on Puppetry,
an entertaining introduction in to the world of puppetry.
In an approx. 45 min session two puppeteers demonstrate various kinds of puppets, i.e. rod puppets, hand puppets, string puppets, shadow puppets and many more.
The puppeteers explain and show the difference between each type of puppets, how they work and how they are used. Thanks to many years of experience the puppeteers can point out the advantages and disadvantages of the different techniques.
Information about the history of puppetry and its presence in cultures all over the world are also included in the session.
The participants are given opportunities to try the puppets and play out a few scenes. This will not require any previous preparation.
Age: The 'Non Boring Lecture on Puppetry' is suitable for children from 4 years old to adults of any age, we adapt the contents and the language to the requirements of our audience.
This lecture is especially suitable for Teacher Inset-Days, Art & Drama Weeks in Infant, Primary and Secondary Schools.
Our lecture can be constructed to all group sizes, we are very happy to discuss your specific situation with you and advise you on suitability.
Duration: 45-60 min.per session, according to your specifications.
Costs: £ 150. plus V.A.T. for one session
Add £ 50.plus V.A.T. for each additional session on the same day.
