This is a repair I carried out on a cheap "Realwood" Baritone ukulele (it appears to be the same as a Mahalo) which I acquired in its broken condition. I also lowered the action by removing the nut and filing down the back (rather than increasing the depth of the slots as I did on the Mahalo). I also sanded the top of the bridge and increased the depth of the saddle slot, to lower the action at that end.

I fashioned a piece to fit in the slot
Glued and drilled. I should should have drilled or cut notches before I glued it in place but I only realised that when it was too late.
The head also required some attention. The previous owner had replaced the tuners - perhaps out of necessity - but had broken a screw in the process so had to put the peg on at an angle and reversed.
I eventually managed to drill out the broken screw and filled the hole with dowel.
Tuner back in the correct position. Screw holes filled with pieces of matchstick.
