5 Minute Blitz Tournament

This was a predictably tense affair with 2 qualifying sessions and a 10 round all-play-all-twice
final culminating in the frantic clock-bashing for which these events are notorious. But when the
   smoke cleared Richard Edwards was the winner with 8/10, confirming his ascendant status
after his recent strong showing at Hamburg. The clocks survived too.

   Richard becomes the 47th Winner of the tankard, first won by Grandmaster Ray Keene in 1962.

2007 Club Championship

The Championship is progressing well and will be finished by 30th September.
