All about me

Please visit my bands website, for some songs of my own www.themortimer.com

I recently completed a 4 year degree course at Durham University in Physics. I now work for a company called John Lewis doing a spot of computing. I own a battered Hohner acoustic (which is good for busking those SandG tunes), a Westone Spectrum II electric, a Aria Pro II bass, a lovely classical guitar and my pride and joy a Seagull. I mostly play Simon and Garfunkel really, my friend and I regulary go busking and sing all the harmonies and are playing pub venues. I am now really starting to play bass, especially the Beatles. I write a few of my own songs that predictably sound very folky, but I am proud of a few of them.

I think Paul Simon is amazing on guitar and at writing lyrics... A quick word on his style. In his early songs he almost exclusively Travis picks his way through them. Only a rare few like Overs or So Long Frank... does he depart from this. The harmonies he and Art get are so cool. Listen to the live versions of Homeward Bound and Scarborough Fair and you'll see what I mean. Even so he does a great job on his own especially on the Paul Simon Songbook.

The tab included on this page has all been vetted by me and its all ok unless I say so next to it!

I mostly listen to the Simon and Garfunkel songs as most of them are guitar based. Anyway have fun. My address for those who want to send me anything is
