I like Mk2 Cavaliers. The car that saved Vauxhall, etc. I saved this one from the scrapyard. It had been family-owned since new, and the old boy who sold it to me (the father-in-law of the original owner) was 97 and being forced to give up driving by his daughter. It had done just 14 miles since the last MOT, 9 months previously.
It needed a new front wing, some welding in the engine bay and on the bottom of both A-pillars, an exhaust centre pipe and some work on the brakes, but went through another MOT easily. Nostalgia value, and a nippy little car to drive too. Sold as part of the 'car cull'.
