Another impulse buy, on the strength of a long MOT and it's perceived usefulness, this car has however consumed it's purchase price in repairs due to the problems you get with elderly, poorly-maintained (i.e. dealer serviced!) Omegas - new cambelt and tensioner, water pump, cam cover gaskets, knock sensor, auxiliary belt and tensioner, plus general servicing items. Having said that, it's fully loaded and a rare 5-speed manual, so a joy to drive. Needs the central locking fixed and a few spots of rust sorted before it's perfect.

Update 7.7.07 - sold the Omega last week due to a massive oil leak from the crankshaft seal.  Shame really, as it was a cracking car for moving stuff around.
