More About LETSlink Scotland

LETSlink Scotland does not promote any particular model of LETS system. It aims to encourage experimentation and diversity. It is a democratic organisation, which is open to any person, or organisation with a mailing address in Scotland. LETSlink Scotland is a registered Company limited by guarantee with a non-profit distributing clause. Members' liability is limited to £1 each. The Directors are mostly Regional Coordinators or people who are active in LETS.

LETSlink Scotland takes every opportunity to trade in LETS and SOCS (the Scottish Organisational Currency). We intend to share information and maintain links with sister organisations such as LETSlink UK and SOCSystems.

The National Lottery Charities Board has funded LETSlink Scotland to implement a three-year programme of training and information provision. The Company also earns money and SOCS from the provision of development services, conference organisation, sale of publications and fund-raising. LETSlink Scotland is not currently a charity, but operates in the Social Sector.
