Dr Jude completed his general medicine training in Birmingham and after being awarded his MRCP in London he went on to specialise in Diabetes and Endocrinology. He then moved to Manchester where he did his research and was awarded his postgraduate degree for studies on the diabetic foot which included pathogenesis of diabetic neuropathy and pathological and biochemical changes in diabetic foot ulcers.

He also conducted the first randomised trial for pharmacological treatment of the Charcot Foot with bisphosphonates. He was then appointed as a Consultant Physician at Tameside General Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne and also has an honorary appointment at Manchester University.

He continues to be very active in research and his main research interests lie in wound healing, the Charcot foot and endothelial dysfunction.
