This appears to be a rather ordinary belt pouch from the outside but on opening, the mouth is two foot across and a bright light emanates from it. The top of a ladder appears just a few seconds after opening unless the word "pouch" is spoken, in which case the neck shrinks down to 10" across.
The pouch is actually the portal to some micro-dimension discovered by the mage Murtykles, it contains (among other things) a large white house (12 bedroom in the style of an 18th century St. Louis plantation house), an apple orchard covering two acres and a wizard’s tower. The actual demi-plane has no lighting and lights cannot be seen at a distance of more than 30 yards. The ladder at the mouth, can be dragged around and left in place. Anything dropped into the pouch remains at the bottom of the ladder (unless one of the pouches occupants wanders off with it) and can be recovered by just asking for it. Anything over ten feet from the mouth of the pouch cannot be summoned for in this way.
The house is empty but furnished, and lies within a white picket fence which prohibits all evil from entering. The apple orchard is quite normal although a woodland spirit lives within. The spirit can occasionally be seen in the form of a white hart, flitting between the trees. The wizard’s tower is more of a mystery. It is obviously a wizard tower from the outside, but there is no visible means of entry and it seems impervious to damage.
