Boots, Bracers and Gloves

Iron Bands of Protection XP 150+

At least 6 different types of these armbands are known to exist. Originally fashioned by an elven priest of Peldizon over 800 years ago, these bands have been copied many times since.

d100 Roll Type of Protection
01-40 Fire (as a Ring of Fire Protection)
41-60 Cold (as a Ring of Warmth)
61-75 Paralysis, gives +2 to saves vs Paralysis, Hold Person, Slow etc.
76-86 +2 vs Breath weapons, gaze attacks and screech attacks.
86-95 Protection +2, as a Ring of Protection, but stacks with the ring.
96-00 Negative Plane, gives a save of 20 vs level draining attacks

Only one such set of these armbands may be worn at any one time. They cannot be worn with other types of magical arm-wear, such as would be found with magical armour, robes or bracers. They do stack with rings, cloaks, belts, headbands etc.

Gauntlet of Liability XP 50

This steel gauntlet must be willingly accepted and can only be removed by the priest placing it. It is a full hand gauntlet which bonds to the wielders preferred hand.

On being worn, the recipient accepts a binding contract, this can take the form of a simple agreement up to a full contractual obligation. If the recipient should waver from the contract, they will begin to take damage at a rate of 1d10 points per 12 hours. If after one week the contract has not been fulfilled, the gauntlet disappears, taking the hand inside, with it. The hand can only be restored by a Remove Curse followed by a Regeneration. If the terms have not been met before these are cast, the hand grows back but is withered and useless. The owner must receive a Heal from the priest who placed the gauntlet in order to regain full use.

Sandals of Marching XP 800

There were originally 300 pairs of these sandals, created for an elite troop garrison based at Ang’Hor (in the Tar’an Nor Basin). There are now very few pairs left in existence. The sandals allow the wearer to march for 30 days and nights without exhaustion. Whilst marching the wearer cannot be surprised.

Boots of Pockets XP 350

These knee-length boots contain 10 small openings around the top. Each opening is an extra-dimensional space that can hold 3 cubic feet of material (1' x 1' x 3'). Each boot can thus hold 30 cubic feet of material, up to 30lbs in weight. The boots also increase the wearer's movement rate by 3".
