I have collected comics for many years initially starting with titles such as Thor and the Teen Titans and then moving on to the X-men, New Mutants and X-Factor when they started. I have collected a number of titles over the years but now I am mainly collecting Vertigo titles. Currently I read Books of Magic, Preacher, Hellblazer, The Dreaming, House of Secrets, Starman and Leave it to Chance all of which I would recommend if you haven't tried them. If you are new to comics, haven't read them or are just curious then I would recommend reading the following graphic novels, Watchmen, V for Vendetta and Batman: The Return of the dark night. Whether you are interested in comics or not I would strongly recommend reading the Sandman by Neil Gaiman. This series of 75 issues is now being reprinted and is available as collected works. It is an excellent piece of literature with some spectacular artwork.
