Royal Observer Corps -
Dumfries & Galloway Post Listing

Introduction

This listing is the index to the archaeological record of the Royal Observer Corps Posts which have existed within the current administrative Region of Dumfries and Galloway, or South West Scotland. Research is proceeding to find the exact locations and fates of all Post sites. The writer has visited over a dozen sites, but would be grateful for further information from former Royal Observer Corps personnel and other knowledgeable sources.

Sites visited or reported on have comments beside the listing . One asterisk indicates something worth visiting. Two asterisks indicate a site that has unusual features illustrating construction or operation. Three asterisks indicate a museum site.

Those Posts for which individual entries have already been made are highlighted. Please click the mouse on the highlighted portion to enter the page, returning with the 'Back' button on your browser.
