How can a Web Page help you ?

A web page can give your personal or business message to literally millions of people throughout the world. The cost can be very reasonable, especially when compared to newspaper, magazine, TV or radio advertising. Above all, it can remain there for as long as you wish, and be changed as often as you wish. Those wishing to buy from you can be given outline details and pictures of your products and services, together with after-sales advice and contact information. You can also include useful information that will attract people to your pages and lead towards a possible sale.

The international nature of the Internet means that tourist and export industries are keen on being on the net. Less publicised is its value to students and academic staff. A scientific thesis can be published on the Internet as a reference for other workers in similar disciplines. Product & Price - What's Included - and getting it on the Web

The following products and prices are offered for the year from 1^st December 1998 for the following twelve calendar months. Prices are in Pounds Sterling. Price in Euros is at the official rate at the time of agreement to start the contract. Contractual law is the law of Scotland within the United Kingdom.

1. Page Link : - £ 5 Pounds Sterling (including VAT) per entry per index :
   Dalbeattie Internet runs three Servers :- Dalbeattie Domain, Moffat Town and Creetown in Scotland. Client sites can be hosted on these commercial servers or be linked to them. In addition, clients' sites may agree to host or to exchange links with other relevant organisations.
2. Basic Entry : - £ 40 Pounds Sterling (inc VAT) :
   A six-line entry, consisting of a small .JPG image, the business name and nature, contact telephone, fax, E-mail and postal details. Display on the Dalbeattie Domain website for one calendar year from the date of activation. Amendment may not exceed thirty lines in that year.
   A simple solution for a small firm wanting an Internet presence at modest cost.
3. Basic A4 Page - £ 50 Pounds Sterling (excluding VAT) :
   Up to A-4 equivalent of text, with up to 6 .JPG images which may form links to other images or pages. Display on the Dalbeattie Domain website or the client's own website, according to preference. Hit counter and mailto reply-back fitted as standard features. Amendment may not exceed half an A-4 page or two images in capacity without incurring additional fees.
4. Multiple Websites : Contact for an estimate.
   A discount is normally allowed for multipage sites, which form a major business item. Pages are designed around the individual needs of the client.
5. Domain Names by NetBenefit:
   These are available through Dalbeattie Internet at reseller cost price to clients requesting a multipage site. My suppliers, NetBenefit, are major sellers of genuine domain names registered internationally through Nominet. I can search for a selection of available domain names and negotiate purchase of a name or names and an e-mail forwarding facility. Owners of large multipage sites may find it in their interest to purchase a 50-Megabyte Virtual Server through me.

Additional Services

I will send or receive E-mail messages for clients for £ 1 each, less for more than ten messages. Messages received by E-mail can be sent on to clients by phone, by fax or by post, depending upon the urgency.

Other features, - frame indexing, large images, clickable bitmaps, additional links and customised icons, - are available on request. The prices and products shown are the basic ones available.

If you wish to design your own pages, but need a service to scan in pictures, sketches and other images, I can scan originals to disk at 50 pence per image (10 images minimum). This may be particularly useful to artists and technical writers.
