2007
Ian Brodie resigns. In September Ian Brodie tendered his resignation to the Council because of family commitments and that he and his family will be spending a considerable time away. Consequently Ian thought that he would not be able to serve the community as well as he would like. The Chairman reluctantly accepted and thanked Ian for his commitment to date. This left a vacancy for a Kinloss member which has been advertised in the local press and there have been 3 expressions of interest. An appointrment is expected to made shortly.(27 September 2007)
Mike Thompson is the CCs choice. At the meeting of the Community Council on 25 October Mike Thompson was chosen to fill the vacant seat left by Ian Brodie. However, he cannot take up his position until his appointment has been ratified by Moray Council.
CC asks Grampian Police to raise their profile in Findhorn. (28 October 2007) Following an increase in petty crime and vandalism the CC have asked Grampian Police to increase patrols in the Findhorn area.
Mike Thompson's appointment has been ratified by Moray Council. (31 October 2007).
National Association of Community Councils. Les Morgan has been appointed as the Representative for Moray (October 2007).
Gill Sutherland resigns. The Chairman reluctantly accepted Gill's resignation which she submitted in November due to her increased family commitments. Gill has served the FKCC for the last 2 years and her efforts have been much appreciated. During that time she was the FKCC representative on the FBNR Committee and also provided the venue for the Kinloss meetings until The Stable Inn closed as a public house. (26 November 2007).
Anne Skene was chosen by the CC to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Gill Sutherland at the meeting held on 29 November 2007. Her name will now be submitted to Moray Council for ratification.

RAF Kinloss Surplus Housing. Developer outlines
proposals at FKCC meeting on 28 February 2008.
26 April 2008. From a list of 10 bidders a shortlist of 4 has
been announced.
FKCC invited to attend development meeting with Moray Council,
RAF Kinloss and representatives from Defence Housing Executive on
Wednesday 18 June 2008.
The meeting was very productive and although details of the 4
bidders proposals were discussed, detail, at this stage of
negotiations, is confidential. Nevertheless it is the intention
of FKCC to be party to any further meetings, to follow the
development by the successful bidder closely and ensure that the
condition of sale are fully adhered to.
One of the UKs most successful private banks has been
appointed preferred bidder in the disposal of over 300 houses at
RAF Kinloss. The Julian Hodge Bank, trading as Moray Cambrian
Homes, has been selected by MOD as preferred bidder in a
significant move forward in the disposal of surplus housing at

Community Police Officer (CPO). . PC Marie Page has been appointed Community Beat Officer for Findhorn and Kinloss by Grampian Police. Marie intends to be at our next meeting on 28 August at the JMI to answer any questions from the public and hopes to open a local police surgery in the area details to be arranged.(20 August 2008).
CPO Surgeries. The first CPO surgeries run by WPC Marie Page for Kinloss will be held Kinloss Church car park on the morning of 15th and the afternoon of 16th November and for Findhorn at the Village Centre on the mornings of 5th,26th November and 10th December.(30 October 2008).

WPC Marie Page Moves On. Sadly Marie has moved to a new post. She will be sadly missed as she was beginning to forge a new and welcome police/public relationship. Good luck in your new post, Marie! Her replacement is PC Kevin Skivington.(February 2009)
RAF Kinloss Surplus Housing. Julian Hodge Bank has completed the purchase of Kinloss Park and South Side surplus quarters. Much interest has been generated, particularly in Kinloss Park. Representatives will give a presentation to FKCC and interested members of the public on at 7.30pm on Thursday 25 June meeting at Kinloss Primary School. Interested parties should register their interest with solicitors Wink and MacKenzie.
RAF Kinloss Surplus Housing. The suplus housing at RAF Kinloss South Side site went on sale to the public on Saturday 26 September. The sale attracted a significant amount of interest and about half the units were sold. A total of 305 units were available as 2,3 and 4 bedroom houses ranging from £74000 to £99000. The sales office will continue to be manned Mon to Sat for the forseeable future and a show house is available for viewing.
Community Council Elections, The election for a Findhorn and Kinloss Community Council due in October will not be held as there were insuficient nominations. Five candidates are elected unapposed for Findhorn and 3 for Kinloss, leaving 2 vacant places for Kinloss.
