ourselves fit and well.

medicines, in cigarettes and drinks (cola, coffee, alcohol), in household products (glues,
solvents) and illegal drugs.

of smell and how it can warn us against breathing in dangerous chemicals such as smoke,
pollution and solvents.

its misuse; amounts of alcohol are measured in units; different drinks have different
alcoholic strengths.
Lesson 5 Pressure from Friends and Advertising

and decisions - and not always in a positive way; understanding the ways we are pressured
helps us develop resistance skills.
Lesson 6 Rights, Rules and Responsibilities

rules and laws to protect ourselves and others; breaking rules and laws has consequences
for the individual and the community.

of need (family, friends, caring organisations); pupils identify their own support systems
and consider ways they can support others better.
