06:13 The eastern sky is just beginning to brighten as SY 1649 leaves Sanjiazi with train 302, the 05:54 Daqing - Diaobingshan passenger, the first of five passenger trains through Sanjiazi between 06:00 and 07:00.

06:23 Only 10 minutes later, SY 1147 leaves on train 102 the 05:47 Daming - Diaobingshan as the sun creeps over the horizon. Whoever planned the railway's timetable got the departure of this train just right!

06:49 SY 1751 arrives tender-first on train 202, the 06:16 Wangqian - Diaobingshan while tender-first SY 1749 waits for the road with train 201, the 06:28 Diaobingshan - Wangqian. Now, who would like to argue that tender first workings don't make good photos?
