Rishworth Design Associates - Practice Statement

Our Practice was established in 1990 by Alan Highfield, formerly an Associate Partner in a central Manchester practice. Over the past nineteen years, Rishworth Design Associates has developed, with an expanding client base and much work now coming from repeat commissions and referrals.

We have a commitment to provide clients with a comprehensive professional service, which combines architectural design quality with value for money. Services currently provided include:

• Site appraisals and briefing
• Feasibility studies
• Outline and detailed architectural design
• Statutory submissions
• Preparation of specifications and tender documents
• Tendering procedures and contract administration
• Duties of Planning Supervisor
• Specialist consultancy work

Our practice is on the Department of the Environment register of consultants, and we have undertaken work for housing associations and other public bodies. Projects now range from small scale domestic extensions to large commercial schemes. Current projects include:

• 2 new foodstores for Barkin Developments (£1.2m)
• 21 Flats, Heaviley, Stockport (£700K)
• Annexe Accommodation, North Manchester Jamia Mosque (£650K)
• Alterations and improvements to Bryants Warehouse, Stockport (£250K)
• New Offices for Bryants of Stockport Ltd (£80K)
• Adaptions for Disabled Persons, Trafford MBC (many projects £2K - £40K)
• Extensions and improvements to Green Room Theatre, Wilmslow (£30K)
