About the ABKA

ABKA, Avon Beekeepers Association, was set up as a charity to "advance the science of Apiculture and to promote and foster the education of the public therein". In other words, to promote beekeeping, especially beekeeping know-how. It is a corporate member of the British Beekeepers Association, which looks after the national interests of beekeeping.

It is an association of five local branches representing geographic areas covering the old Avon county:
