About the ABKA
ABKA, Avon Beekeepers Association, was set up as a charity to "advance the science of Apiculture and to promote and foster the education of the public therein". In other words, to promote beekeeping, especially beekeeping know-how. It is a corporate member of the British Beekeepers Association, which looks after the national interests of beekeeping.
