"This picture was taken at Fannie's (Stevenson) home in Rydal Pennsylvania in October 1929. My father bought a new Ford sedan and my uncle James and my brother Neil and I drove with him the 5,000 miles from our home in California to Rydal and return (1,600 miles of the journey was on dirt or gravel roads) for this family visit.
