COMMENTS This is Melanie’s best live album for a number of years
and, for me, works much better as a album than Live at Meltdown 2007
and the disappointing Olga’s Birthday Party. The sound is crisp and clear and Melanie’s voice is strong and
warm. She sounds relaxed, like she is having fun, and there is good audience
rapport. Beau’s accompaniment is particularly effective on the viola-guitar,
making Beautiful People and The Saddest Thing two outstanding
performances. |
